How Laser Hair Removal Works
During treatment, a diode laser beam (DiolazeXL) or Alex/Nd:YAG technology (Clarity II) passes through the skin toward your hair follicles. The laser energy penetrates and heats the root of the hair, damaging the follicle and preventing future hair growth.
DiolazeXL uses selective diode laser technology with chromophore targeting to hit the melanin in the follicle while sparing the surrounding skin. Clarity II's Alex/Nd:YAG technology makes treatment effective across all skin tones.

By passing the laser beam through the skin, it heats the roots of the hair, stunting future hair growth. Depending on the specific area, treatments usually last 15–45 minutes.
How many sessions will I need?
Typically 6–8 treatments for best results, and more in areas with thinner or less-pigmented hair. Treatments are spaced every 4–6 weeks for the face and every 6–8 weeks for the body. You can expect visible results after 4–8 sessions.
Is there any downtime?
Mild redness is common and minimal bumps (perifollicular edema) are expected; however, laser hair removal treatments do not require downtime or recovery.
Which technology will be used on me?
Your Artisan will select DiolazeXL (diode) or Clarity II (Alex/Nd:YAG) based on your hair and skin type. The combination makes treatment effective on Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI.
