What Are Neuromodulators?
Botox, Dysport and Xeomin are well-known neuromodulators that relax muscles. We naturally develop fine lines and wrinkles from frowning, laughing, squinting and smiling. As we age, collagen production slows, making it harder for skin to bounce back.
When injected, a neuromodulator simply relaxes the facial muscle underneath the skin to create a smooth and refreshed appearance. Typical treatment areas are the 'elevens,' forehead lines and crow's feet.

What are neuromodulators?
Neuromodulators are wrinkle-relaxing injections for moderate to severe frown lines, crow's feet, and horizontal lines on the forehead.
How soon will I see results?
You can see the effects as early as 3–4 days after an injection. Most patients see full results within 10–14 days. Dysport typically produces results within 2–3 days; Xeomin results usually appear within 4 days. Results will vary.
How long do results last?
Botox, Dysport and Xeomin produce temporary results. Each can last between three and six months. Results will vary.
What is the difference between neuromodulators and dermal fillers?
Both are injectables. The biggest difference is that neuromodulators relax the muscles that cause wrinkles, while dermal fillers restore lost volume and structure.
Are the injections painful?
Even without a numbing agent, pain is minimal. You may only feel a little pinch. Injections are very quick, and with a trained medical professional you may not even notice when they happen.
Is there any downtime?
There is typically no recovery time and little to no downtime. Some patients may have mild redness, bruising or swelling at the injection site. You may resume normal activities immediately.
